I went to the OC Fair with my best friend, Brittany, on Saturday and it was so much fun. I’ve gone to the fair in years past but I’d forgotten how massive it is. The fair grounds have so much fun stuff to do and even more fun stuff to EAT! We split a hotdog the size of my forearm and followed it up with chocolate dipped cones. I’ve also had fried cookie dough, bacon wrapped pickles, salted butter dipped corn, cotton candy and fried Klondike bars at the fair before. So yeah, it satisfies any and all of your guilty food pleasures.
If you haven’t already noticed my new favorite accessory, this adorable bandana is by Oli Rose Designs. They make super cute custom embroidered bandanas that you can wear several different ways. Oli Rose was started by my sorority sister, Olivia, so support the girl gang and check out their Etsy shop! I kept it simple and got my name but you can get whatever your heart desires.
We shamelessly paid $1 to see a giant cow, horse and alligator (lol). There were also a bunch of cool indoor spaces with art, artisan food and live music. Like I said, the fair grounds are massive so we only saw a small fraction of what they have to offer but there’s really a flavor for anyone.
Lucky for me, Jeff showed up in the evening to fulfill my teenage-dream-carnival-date fantasy. No complaints over here.
If you live in SoCal, definitely check out the fair before it’s gone for the season (August 13th). And be prepared to eat your heart out!
